The traditional music instruments of Japan are handcrafted from organic materials such as bamboo, paulownia wood, silk, and lacquer. They are particularly sensitive to their surroundings and were intended for performances in temples, homes and other intimate spaces constructed of woods, grasses, and earth. The Globus Washitsu's "Tatami Recital" series aim to capture the innate beauty of these instruments and their music in their natural environment. 日本の伝統的な楽器は、竹、木、絹、びわ、漆、などの様々な有機素材による手作りのものです。とくに環境に敏感なことから、草や木と大地で成り立つ寺社や民家などの自然空間の中で演奏されるためのものです。グルーバス和室の「タタミ・リサイタル」シリーズは、このような楽器の持つ美しさと、そんな自然環境での音楽の再現をめざしています。素晴らしい才能に恵まれた音楽家の皆さまには、三味線、琴、尺八、くご、一弦琴などを演奏していただいております。タタミ・リサイタルの今後の予定については、フェイスブックを是非ご覧ください。
